A 6-month UX/UI Design project from the UX residency at Apple Developer Academy | IFCE, for Lientech — a technology recruitment and consulting platform.

IT Guys positions services for companies that need a partner—not a generic vendor. The site, app, and design system translate that into candidate journeys, expertise blocks, and tech visual language: clean, dark where it makes sense, and always readable.

Benchmarking

We researched 5 recruitment companies:

✅ Companies with their own apps: Indeed, Taqe, and Catho.

❌ Companies using web only: Gupy and Solides.

Quantitative research

We ran an anonymous survey to understand candidate behavior on current recruitment platforms and measure satisfaction with those tools.

We received 20 responses in total, of which:

Did not get a job through the platforms

30%

Rated satisfaction as 1/5 — very dissatisfied

95%

Did not receive adequate feedback on a selection process

Gupy is the most used platform (100% of candidates), followed by LinkedIn and Vagas.com.

The most requested features are selection process feedback and simplified application (LinkedIn).

Interviews

To enrich our research, we conducted interviews with 6 Academy students to deepen our understanding of their experiences with recruitment platforms and more accurately assess their level of satisfaction with these tools.

Difficulty filling out their résumé
Challenges understanding job requirements
Lack of response and feedback
Need for more objective tests and clear instructions
Frustration with long processes and excessive questions
Valuing personality and soft skills

Mobile App — MVP

For the first version of the app, we were asked to include login, interaction with available job listings, and integration with Asla, Lientech's chatbot. To build this initial release, we reused components from the web version and adapted them for iOS.
